Emergency Ride Home Program
If you work in South King County and use sustainable forms of transportation to commute, you may be eligible for the Emergency Ride Home (ERH) Program!
ERH will get you home in the case of an emergency by covering up to $100 (including tip) for your trip using a taxi, Uber, or Lyft. Each person can use this program up to three times per calendar year while supplies last.

Guidelines
To be eligible for the ERH program, you must meet all three guidelines

You have an emergency

On the day of the emergency, you used an eligible form of transportation to commute to work

You take a trip to an eligible destination
Eligible emergencies

Unexpected personal or family illness

Unexpected request by a supervisor to work late, with the request happening on the same day and without notice

Unexpected change in planned ride home (Carpool driver has to leave early due to emergency)

How to use ERH

Order a taxi, Uber, or Lyft ride

Save/download the receipt from your trip

Complete the reimbursement form within 30 days of the trip and submit your receipt
